Irina is recognized as an up-and-coming litigator whose legal accomplishments transcend her age. She has been named repeatedly to Benchmark Litigation’s “40 & Under Hot List” and also has been recognized as a “Future Star” by Benchmark Litigation and a “Rising Star” by Law360, one of only six securities attorneys in its 2020 list. Additionally, Lawdragon has named her one of the “Leading Plaintiff Financial Lawyers in America.”

Prior to joining Pomerantz LLP, Irina was a partner and associate at a prominent New York plaintiffs-side law firm for many years, where she prosecuted securities class actions on behalf of investors, including high-profile cases like In re Nike Inc. Securities Litigation. Before that, she was an associate in the general litigation practice group at a major international law firm, where she focused on securities litigation. Irina played a pivotal role in securing a historic $192.5 million settlement for investors in energy company SCANA Corp. over a failed nuclear reactor project in South Carolina, as well as a $19 million settlement in a shareholders’ suit against Daimler AG over its Mercedes Benz diesel emissions scandal. She also has been a key member of the teams that have obtained favorable settlements for investors in numerous securities cases, including:
- In re Massey Energy Co. Securities Litigation ($265 million settlement)
- In re Fannie Mae 2008 Securities Litigation ($170 million settlement)
- In re Amgen Inc. Securities Litigation ($95 million settlement)

- Lilien v. Olaplex Holdings, Inc. ($47.5 million settlement)
- Vancouver Alumni Asset Holdings Inc. v. Daimler A.G. ($19 million settlement)

- In re Acuity Brands, Inc. Securities Litigation ($15.75 million settlement)
- and In re Extreme Networks, Inc. Securities Litigation ($7 million settlement).
In addition, Irina has argued several appeals before the U.S. Courts of Appeal, including a Second Circuit case against telecare provider Teladoc Health, Inc., resulting in a rare reversal of the district court’s dismissal order. Further, she was actively involved in prosecuting a decade-long case against financial industry leader Goldman Sachs, In re Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. Securities Litigation, arising from its Abacus and other subprime mortgage-backed CDOs during the 2008 Financial Crisis, including defending against a precedent-setting appeal of the class certification order to the U.S. Supreme Court and three appeals to the Second Circuit.
She is a member of the New York State Bar Association and New York City Bar Association.
Irina is fluent in Russian and proficient in Spanish.
