
Brandon M. Cordovi
AssociateBrandon M. Cordovi focuses his practice on securities litigation. At Pomerantz, Brandon has worked on dozens of securities lawsuits, including In re Emergent Biosolutions Inc., 21-cv-995 (D. Md.), which arose from a pharmaceutical company’s COVID-19 vaccine manufacturing failures and resulted in a $40 million settlement. Brandon has also played a substantial role in the Firm’s securities litigation against China-based companies including Altimeo Asset Management v. Qihoo 360 Technology Co. LTD., 19-cv-10067 (S.D.N.Y.), which settled for $29.75 million, and ODS Capital LLC v. JA Solar Holdings Co., LTD., 1:18-cv-12083-ALC (S.D.N.Y.), which settled for $21 million.
In addition to working on Pomerantz’s securities lawsuits, Brandon has worked on several of the Firm’s consumer lawsuits including Lerman v. Apple Inc., 15-cv-07381 (E.D.N.Y.), which arose from the company’s iOS 9 software update causing performance slowdowns on iPhone 4S devices and resulted in a $20 million settlement. As part of the Apple litigation, in discovery Brandon managed the review of over 48,000 documents.
Prior to joining Pomerantz, Brandon was an associate at a New York law firm specializing in the defense of insurance claims. Brandon’s practice focused on the defense of transportation, premises and construction liability matters.
Brandon earned his J.D. in 2018 from Fordham University School of Law, where he served on the Moot Court Board and was the recipient of a merit-based scholarship. While at Fordham Law, Brandon participated in the Securities Litigation and Arbitration Clinic, where he prepared for the negotiation and arbitration of claims brought on behalf of clients with limited resources. During his second summer of law school, he served as a summer associate at a major plaintiffs’ securities firm.
Brandon earned his B.S. from the University of Delaware, where he double-majored in Sport Management and Marketing.
