Dr. Daniel Summerfield
Director of ESG and UK Client Services
Daniel joined Pomerantz in October 2022 after 20 years at the Universities Superannuation Scheme (“USS”), the United Kingdom’s largest private pension fund. Most recently Daniel was Head of Corporate Affairs of USS following a period of 16 years as head of Responsible Investment. He brings to Pomerantz a wealth of professional experience as a pensions, investment and public affairs professional with a strong background in ESG/sustainability, stewardship and engagement, reputation management and stakeholder relationships. Daniel also has considerable experience in working with senior policy makers, regulators and captains of industry at a global level.
Daniel holds a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours from University College London, a Doctor of Philosophy in History from SOAS University of London, and most recently attended the Corporate Affairs Academy at Said Business School, University of Oxford.
Carolyn S. Moskowitz
Director of Client Services
Carolyn liaises with clients and oversees Pomerantz’s Client Services staff. Working closely with the Firm’s leadership, she develops branding, client development, and communications campaigns. She co-edits The Pomerantz Monitor, the Firm’s bi-monthly journal of news and analysis focused on securities litigation, corporate governance, and policy issues. Now in her twenty-fourth year at Pomerantz, Carolyn continues to anticipate and respond to clients’ needs in the ever-evolving legal landscape.
Carolyn received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University in Montreal. She is fluent in French.
Chiao Chen
Director of Financial Analysis
Chiao leads a team of financial analysts in evaluating potential exposures and damages for clients’ investments that may be attributable to securities fraud. He periodically develops enhancements to the Firm’s proprietary PomTrack® Portfolio Monitoring Service. Chiao is a member of Pomerantz’s New Case Team that monitors, researches, and assesses potential violations of federal securities laws.
Prior to joining the Firm, Chiao worked for multiple asset management companies, bringing over 20 years of financial industry knowledge to Pomerantz. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Binghamton University.
Katarina Marcial
Senior Marketing Manager
Katarina, who joined Pomerantz in 2024, oversees marketing projects at the Firm. Collaborating closely with the leadership team, she devises marketing strategies, branding initiatives, and communication campaigns. Additionally, she co-edits The Pomerantz Monitor, the firm's bi-monthly newsletter, manages the social media strategy, manages the production of RFP responses, and oversees the website rebranding project. Katarina brings years of experience in marketing strategy, content development, project management, and brand development to Pomerantz.
Before joining Pomerantz, Katarina managed multiple brand launches and marketing initiatives across several industries, including media, events, publishing, non-profit, and higher education. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University and a Master of Business Administration from Babson College's F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business. Katarina is a strong advocate for mentorship and actively supports younger professionals.
Janalee Spencer
Client Services Manager
Janalee represents Pomerantz at client conferences and events and liaises with current and potential firm clients. She also organizes Pomerantz’s conferences and seminars. As an integral member of the Client Services team, Janalee assists in preparing customized, monthly PomTrack® portfolio monitoring reports for clients.
Prior to joining Pomerantz, Janalee worked at a plaintiffs’ securities class action firm for 12 years.
Janalee received a Bachelor’s degree from California State University San Marcos.
Danielle Peyton
Investor Relations Manager
Danielle, who joined Pomerantz in 2023, oversees the Firm’s retail investor services. She is a member of Pomerantz’s New Case Team, composed of attorneys and professional staff, that monitors, researches, and assesses potential violations of federal securities laws. Danielle brings to Pomerantz five years’ of experience in customer relationship management, project management, and research and analytics in various markets around the world, including the UAE, China, Singapore, and the United States.
Danielle earned a double-major Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Business Marketing from the University of Scranton in 2018. Upon graduation, she volunteered with Hand in Hand Ministries to build homes in Guatemala for those in need.
Amanda Taylor
Senior Financial Analyst
As a senior member of Pomerantz’s Financial Analysis team, Amanda evaluates potential exposures and losses that may be attributable to securities fraud for both institutional and retail clients. She is also a member of Pomerantz’s New Case Team tasked with monitoring, researching, and assessing potential violations of federal securities laws.
Prior to joining Pomerantz, Amanda worked in economic consulting for securities litigation. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics from Vanderbilt University.
Sarah Hassan
Senior Financial Analyst
A senior member of Pomerantz’s Financial Analysis team, Sarah monitors and assesses institutional and retail clients’ losses that may be attributable to securities fraud, analyzing trading histories and calculating potential damages. Sarah also contributes to the preparation of clients’ monthly PomTrack® portfolio monitoring reports.
Sarah earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from American University.
Andrea Li
Settlements Analyst
Andrea heads the team that files Proofs of Claims in settlements on behalf of clients. She and the team determine clients’ eligibility to participate in recovery from settlements as well as their potential recovery. She liaises with custodian banks and claims administrators to cure any deficiencies in clients’ claims and ensures that Pomerantz’s clients receive the recovery they are due.
Andrea earned a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Connecticut.
Leslie Liang
Assistant to the Controller/ Settlements Analyst
Leslie joined Pomerantz as an Accountant in June 2017. She works with both the firm’s Finance Department and with the Settlements team. Her finance responsibilities include accounts analysis, reporting, cash flow, payroll and audits. As a settlements analyst, Leslie determines clients’ eligibility to participate in recovery from settlements, monitoring each settlement claim from filing through to recovery.
Leslie received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a minor in Finance from SUNY University at Buffalo.

Christopher Szechenyi
Director of Investigations
Chris manages a global team of investigators who are devoted to uncovering fraud, misleading statements, and other acts of misrepresentation by corporations and their officers. He and his team have conducted hundreds of witness interviews for Pomerantz’s securities fraud cases, which produced significant settlements for plaintiffs.
Chris has 20 years of experience as a private investigator and as president of On Point Investigations, an investigative agency based in Boston. While based in Paris, France, he was a producer for 60 Minutes, primarily for correspondent Mike Wallace.
Chris taught journalism for nearly ten years at Emerson College. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Lehigh University and has won several national journalism awards.
Simon Hall
Paralegal
Simon, a senior paralegal professional, provides research and investigative support to the leadership of all practice groups.
Simon brings to Pomerantz over 13 years of experience in large New York law firms, with a focus on securities litigation. His trial experience spans across numerous state, federal, and international venues. He has significant experience conducting market research as well as monitoring legislation and regulations potentially affecting the business of major institutional clients. Simon has also interned at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
Simon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Public Affairs from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Administration
Georgette G. Cupo
Director of Human Resources
Prior to joining Pomerantz in 2019, for twenty years Georgette acted as Director of Human Resources/Office Manager at Harwood Feffer LLP in New York, where she dramatically reduced operating expenses and supply costs.
Georgette manages Pomerantz’s human resources needs, including hiring, supervision, and performance reviews of staff, administering benefit programs, and assisting in policy development.
Georgette received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Montclair State University.
Kenneth W. Schultz
Director of Finance
Ken joined Pomerantz as Director of Finance in 2016. His 30 years of prior experience include having overseen the financial departments of multi-national and mid-sized law firms. His role includes financial reporting, analysis, taxation, budgeting, cash flow management, compensation and internal controls.
Ken reports directly to the Managing Partner, plays a key role in strategic planning, and is responsible for the hiring and supervision of all personnel in the finance department.
Ken received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from St. John’s University.
