Pomerantz Shortlisted for European Pensions’ Law Firm of the Year and Thought Leadership Awards

On July 29, 2021, European Pensions announced the shortlisted nominees for their 2021 awards, including nominations for Pomerantz in the Law Firm of the Year and Thought Leadership categories.

The Law Firm of the Year Award recognizes the firm that “stands out in its dedication to understanding the complexities of pensions legislation and works with its clients to see them through the legal maze.”

The Thought Leadership Award honors a firm, pension fund or association that is “leading the way” with innovative and insightful thought leadership that meets the challenges facing European pension funds.

In December 2020, Pomerantz was honored to receive the inaugural Thought Leadership Award presented by European Pensions in recognition that the Firm “has demonstrated the possibility to make a real, material difference to the pension fund space.”

In honoring Pomerantz’s thought leadership in 2020, European Pensions recognized the Firm’s long tradition of developing innovative ways to advance institutional investors’ interests, including novel legal strategies devised by Pomerantz to protect the rights of international investors following the U.S. Supreme Court’s Morrison decision which effectively barred purchasers of securities on non-U.S. exchanges from pursuing claims in U.S. courts under the federal securities laws. Beyond expanding European pension funds’ access to the robust securities laws of the United States through ground-breaking legal strategies, Pomerantz is at the forefront of representing its clients in global litigations, no matter where they are based.

European Pensions will announce the winners of these awards and others at their awards ceremony at the London Marriott Hotel on October 20, 2021.
